CLIENT Museum of Anthropology, UBC
Large format, hardcover book series showcasing MOA’s art exhibitions from around the world; an anthropologic reflection on art, culture and society. After designing Safar/Voyages which showcases the contemporary work of Arab, Iranian and Turkish artists, MOA director Anthony Shelton exclaimed that “this book” embodied a vision he had always had, but was often told was not possible. Thus a series was born. The second volume, The Marvellous Real: Art from Mexico 1926–2011, solidifies the design of a series look while remaining flexible enough to continue to suit future material. Stay tuned for book three!
